I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
